On Saturday 15th November, the naturalistic masks made their first appearance. These are full masks created from the faces of performers (either when they were holding an expression or when relaxed). I wondered whether they would work as masks and also what type of masks they would create… what type of characters and dynamics might arise?

It turned out to be a great day full of new improvs and an expanded view of what is possible.
“I really loved the workshop. I’ve never worked with masks of real people before. It’s a great tool for character work and it’s great to see them come alive.”
